We look forward to seeing you down at our local track based at Nga Puna Wai, Halswell for some athletic competition this summer!
To compete as a Masters athlete in Canterbury, you have TWO membership options:
Option 1: Join an Athletics New Zealand Club (e.g Old Boys' United, Papanui Toc H, New Brighton Olympic, Port Hills etc) as a Competitive Member. CLICK HERE to find out about clubs in Canterbury.
This option is most suitable for those who intend to compete in interclub events all year round in track & field, cross country & road events. These events are organised by Athletics Canterbury. CLICK HERE for more information. Some clubs also offer coaching and group social gatherings throughout the year.
NOTE: If you are a member of an Athletics New Zealand Club you DO NOT need to pay a registration fee to Canterbury Masters Athletics, but you can compete openly in both senior and Masters athletics events.
Option 2: Join Canterbury Masters Athletics, which is a Centre associated with New Zealand Masters Athletics Inc, as a Competitive Member.
This option is particularly suitable for those who only intend to compete in track & field events. All Competitive CMA members can compete at track & field events organised by Athletics Canterbury. These events are held at Nga Puna Wai Stadium, Augustine Drive, Halswell.
You can also join as a Social Member of Canterbury Masters if you are not interested in competing at interclub or Masters championship events.
The NZMA Vetline magazine has gone digial and is FREE to all members. CLICK HERE to view PDF versions.
